Nowadays labor market is in pressing need for highly qualified specialists in the field of maintaining human safety in the modern world who are ready to create favorable living conditions in the context of the constant use of technologies.

In order to succeed in this sphere it is required to have skills allowing highly efficient use of technologies, as well as methods of control and forecast. Specialists are expected to be able to work in a competitive environment of the labor market and accept professional challenges to achieve solid financial standing and strategic efficiency of the technological facility on the various stages of its life cycle.

Graduates of this program are trained for the following professional activities:

  • administrative and managerial activities: implementation of occupational safety rules on an enterprise level and management of labor safety services, industrial sanitation and health protection, trainings on workplace safety, certification of corporate occupational safety practices, prevention of occupational diseases and traumas;
  • expert, regulator, inspector and auditor in the following areas: workplace conditions assessment and certification, Labor Code compliance control and observance of other labor-related legislation, investigation into industrial accidents;
  • R&D activities: development of individual and collective means of protection and provision of favorable climatic, light and ergonomic work conditions;
  • research activities: examination of work conditions, production risks, industrial injuries statistics and overall health conditions of employees, exploration of new methods of maintaining occupational safety and injury-proof work processes.

Upon completion of the program graduates will be able to:

  • ensure occupational safety and favorable workplace conditions;
  • shape human-friendly technological environment;
  • reduce the exposure of the natural environment to technological impact;
  • preserve human health and life by using technological tools, control and forecast methods.

Program duration: from 3 to 4.5 years.

Admission requirements:

General certificate of secondary (full) education (11 grades) or secondary vocational education diploma (technical school or college). In case if it is necessary, results of Unified State Exam are to be provided.

Diplomas:

Upon graduation and defending the undergraduate project students get undergraduate’s degree of the Russian Federation state standard, as well as pan-European Diploma Supplement (Diploma Supplement).
