Information Systems Security

The Information security market increases by 25-30% per year on an average. The highest growth (50-60% per year) in the medium term is projected for SMB (small and medium-sized businesses).

The intensive development of the market leads to a significant shortage of qualified experts on systems security and protection of information including: banking systems auditors, consultants for the implementation of IT solutions; engineers on the application, development and maintenance of information security systems.

Students learn:

  • IT projects management.

During the training students learn the methodology of research and development activities, do the educational and industrial practice. At the final stage the candidates of the academic master's degree do scientific research and defend a project (thesis).

Upon completion of the program graduates will be able to:

  • examine the complexity of modern technologies in the field of computing;
  • develop a methodology for analyzing scientific and technical problems, organize and summarize scientific and technical information and patent sources, set goals and objectives of the research;
  • know the methods of selection and transformation of mathematical models of phenomena, processes and systems with a view to their effective software and hardware implementation and research using computer equipment;
  • acquire the skills of developing algorithms, mathematical models, methods, computer technology and decision-making support systems in research, in design activities, management of technological, economic, social systems and in humanitarian fields of human activity.

Job placement

The graduates of ICT can perform research, design, production and technology, operational, organizational, managerial, teaching activities.

Upon completion of the training the graduates:

  • successfully work in IT departments on senior positions;
  • employed as engineers, scientists, heads of laboratories and research centers;
  • continue their education in post-graduate school, choosing a career of professional research scientists, developers of new technologies in the field of science and modern technologies.

from 2 to 2.5 years.

Bachelor or Specialist degree in a similar field.

Upon graduation and defending the graduation project students get master’s degree of the Russian Federation state standard, as well as pan-European Diploma Supplement (Diploma Supplement).
