The main professional activities of system administrator’s is organization and engineering maintenance of company’s internal computer network: server, hardware and software and IT security issues.

IT professionals are in demand almost in all companies whose activities involve the use of extensive computer network. Vacancies are opened both in commercial and public companies with the wide range of activities. Also there are vacant positions in studios and firms that deal with computers and office equipment repairs.

Professional skills of graduates of the «Computer networks» program lie in the sphere of performance assurance and engineering service of computer hardware and computer networks.

The graduates have skills for a large corporate networks complete analysis for exposure and openness and resist attacks on computer networks. The training is performed by highly qualified proessionals and certified instructors in cooperation with Cisco Academy with the use of equipment and vendor teaching materials in accordance with ISO, PSI DSS, SOX and GOST.

Students learn:

  • history, fundamentals of philosophy, foreign language;
  • elements of advanced math, elements of mathematical logic, information science basics, physical layer data technologies, hardware architecture, operational systems;
  • programming fundamentals and databases, electrical basics of power supply, technical facilities of informatization, computer graph engineering;
  • metrology, standardization, certification, technical regulation, organization, design concept and functioning of computer networks;
  • mathematical tools for computer networks building, software for computer networks, organization of computer networks administration, objects operating in network infrastructure, security of information systems;
  • computer networks and telecommunication systems in cooperation with Cisco;
  • software, data bases and programming languages engineering (including C / C + +, C #, Java, Assembler, Pascal and others).

Much attention is paid to the following issues: hardware-based complexes and systems, software and communication components of information technologies, IT security tools, network sources for manual network configurations, network recourses in information systems, measures of technical control for securing correct operating of computer networks.

The program graduates are prepared for the following professional activities:

  • network management organization, network infrastructure exploitation;
  • participation in network infrastructure designing;
  • network resources management;
  • participation in network infrastructure upgrade;
  • technical computers and networks maintenance;
  • hardware/firmware service of computer equipment;
  • predictive maintenance and fault diagnosis of computer equipment and networks;
  • building, configuration and customization of computer equipment and networks;
  • standard software installation, adaptation and maintenance.

Job placement

Upon completion of the training graduates successfully work:

  • in different industry structures that are providing IT and network services.

Duration of study:

  • From 1 year and 10 months to 3 years and 10 months — Basic training

Admission requirements:

  • Higher school certificate
  • Certificate of secondary (complete) general education
  • Diploma of primary vocational education
  • Admission to the College is carried out without entrance examinations


After completing the «Computer networks» program the graduates receive the state-recognized diploma of vocational secondary education.
